This painting is in honor of the 113th anniversary of the first powered flight by the Wright Brothers. The aircraft in this painting is a Curtiss JN-4 “Jenny” in the paint scheme of an original you can see in Hood River at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM).
The painting was a good challenge for me. I have not attempted a “dramatic” sunset in years and this is my first successful one!
